A magnificent pile of gothic buildings opened by Queen Victoria on December 4th 1882, are the headquarters of legal business in London. They were designed by the late George Edward Street, and cost £750,000 to build. The central hall is about 230 feet long and there are numerous court rooms with apartments for judges and other officials.
