Monument marking Old
Santa Fe Trail, Dodge City , Kansas
The
Old Santa Fe Trail, which ran from the town of Westport, which is now part
of Kansas City, to Santa Fe, New Mexico. In the old border days was a logical
human pathway. The grades were easy and the trail followed closely its
water supply. Dodge City was on the trail
In recent
years there have been several monuments started to mark it's path
