Triphammer Falls and
Hydraulic Laboratory.
Picturesque Tripphammer
Falls in Fall Creekare located near the campus of the University; the heavy
beating as of a mighty pulse gives the cataract it's name. At it's south
side is the Hydraulic Laboratory, in Fall Creek Gorge, built in 1897 and
with walls of stone. The cost of the
building and of the dam
and canal used in conjunction with it was about $20,000, while the value
of the equipment in the laboratory was about $30,000.
