      Fort Ti. - September 1775
      .
The second regiment of "Green Mountain Boys" was organized by resolution of the Continental Congress in July, 1775, under Colonel Seth Warner (formerly Captain of the Bennington Company, under Colonel Ethan Allen). This new regiment, like the first, was uniformed in green coats with red collars and cuffs, buckskin breeches and vest, and blue and white checked shirts. The ranger in the picture is armed with an American rifle, powder horn, shot pouch, haversack, and wooden canteen.
