Reynolds Arcade, Built 1828, Rochester, N.Y.

Reynolds Arcade is an old land mark. In 1812
Abelard Reynolds erected a frame dwelling on
this site, the tract of land then known as Rochesterville.
After the War of 1812, General Scott and staff were entertained at the hostelry
opened by Mr Reynolds. In 1828 Mr. Reynolds
erected the Arcade, then the finest building in Western New York State.
