Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse
40-foot octagonal tower, built 1822 at a
cost of $3,301 -- on the site of William
Hincher's cabin (1792). Decommisioned
in 1881 and restored for Rochester's Sesquicentennial
in 1984. the keeper's house was built in 1863
to replace the 1822 2-room stone house.
