Rochester, N.Y., Lower Genesee Falls
.
The Lower Genesee Falls, 96 feet high, are the
last falls of any importance in the Genesee River before it
reaches Lake Ontario. They are within the city limits, a
short distance south of Driving Park Avenue, where a
bridge spans the river. Commercial use has been made of the falls,
but this has not spoiled the beauty.
