Rochester, N. Y., East from Powers Building
.
Main Street is seen heading towards the horizion on the right, but the Main Street Bridge is more difficult to find. Lined on both sides by buildings, it resembles a bridge from the Middle Ages in Europe. The green waters of the Genesee River can be seen at the lower left, and give a further clue to the bridge's location. The Urban Renewal Project of the late 1960's finally rid the bridge of these structures, and many Rochestarians discovered that Main Street crossed the Genesee River.
