Lake Avenue is a continuation of State Street below
Lyell Avenue, running parellel with the Genesee River to the
village of Charlotte on the shore of Lake Ontario. It is
the boulevard on which are to be found many of the oldest
residences of the city, as well as some of the newest and finest.
